We recently launched a new logo for our clothing line Born Resilient and my wife, Tanya, captured this image of me and my son, Brody.
It hit me hard because Brody will never truly know the impact he had on me.
Just days after I finally put the bottle down, I felt completely broken. Then Tanya called to tell me she was pregnant, and it changed everything. That moment lit a fire in me, and I vowed that my son would always have a sober dad. Not a perfect one, but a dad who fought to the be the best version of himself.
Being unbreakable doesn’t mean you never fall apart. Sure, sometimes, life leaves us feeling shattered, but Tanya and I believe that ‘unbreakable’ means refusing to stay in pieces.
How often do you take time to notice how far you’ve come, and how often do you celebrate the strength it took to get there?
Keep talking my friends, and keep fighting. Always.
