My friend, Tommy Laplante, identified a need in the community, and created a program to match that need. Tommy understands the value of land-based healing, and will be taking men camping and fishing.
This initiative is taking place through the Saskatoon Indian & Metis Friendship Centre. The purpose of this outing is to promote comradery and leadership development for this group of men that frequent their facility. Considering that Saskatoon has some of the highest HIV rates in the country, campers will also receive education on HIV and addiction.
There in no funding for this program and this is where I come in.
I have partnered with Simone McLeod, and will be selling each of her 8 x 10 prints for $15. I am also selling copies of my books for $15 each.
All proceeds will go directly to this great project.
If you would like to purchase a print or book to support this initiative, please contact me at awkehler@gmail.com
We can arrange pickup, or these items can also be mailed.
Postage for prints is $15 and books are $5.
Life is all about giving back.
Thank you for your great work Tommy, and for investing your time and energy into these great men.
